Hi, I’m Michelle du Preez

I know the feeling of having no control only too well… the feeling of being driven by something deep within you that compels you to eat – and your stomach protesting because, because well there is no more space, yet…the food goes in. Trust me, just like you – I know all about dieting and calories and keto and paleo and veganism and clean eating and, well, you know what I mean. We could all write a PhD thesis on bloody dieting…and yet, no permanent results!


Then the magic happened! I discovered Marisa Peer and her phenomenal model of Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT), and after a single session of hypnotherapy my relationship with food changed forever – I understood for the first time in my life WHY I eat compulsively. We all know that understanding is power – but understanding in hypnosis is phenomenal rocket fuel power! My eating patterns and habits have changed completely. I eat when I’m hungry and then forget all about food for hours. No more finishing a meal and then immediately wondering what other ‘small smackerell’ could be munched on (you know the feeling!). I don’t think I could go back to that constant caterpillar munching chomping nightmare if I tried. I drink more water, exercise more and make healthier food choices – the kind that are right for me and suit my body and lifestyle.


I was so inspired by this transformation that I began my studies under Marisa Peer and qualified as a Rapid Transformational Therapist. I have embraced a beautiful new life. I now have a super successful practice helping clients all over the world liberate themselves from weight and confidence issues. My specialism is weight loss but have had remarkable success working with addiction (drugs, alcohol, shopping), anxiety, OCD and IBS, amongst others. I am more than happy to help you, whatever your presenting issue.


It’s so simple when you understand that all habits begin with a thought. We have a thought (my flawed thinking about food started when I was about 5 years old) the thought drives our behaviour; the behaviour becomes a habit and guess what? That doesn’t change until we upgrade our thinking. And that is at the heart of what we do.


I am highly professional, and I am real. I understand pain – I am in my fifties and I’ve been around the block a few times, believe me, I’ve had my share of suffering. I might cry with you, I’m prepared to feel with and for you – textbook therapy is sniffy about this, but I’m not offering textbook therapy. In fact I’m pleased to NOT offer you a standard experience with standard outcomes. This is not ‘come and chat about your problems’ therapy, through RTT you will very quickly find freedom and balance. We work very deeply,  and together we investigate your presenting issue, we then interrupt old patterns of thinking and then begin the process of installing new beliefs. Issues are treated in one to three sessions. I am exceptionally good at what I do and I have been trained by the best, the method is simple and highly, highly effective.
